Okay, another long one. Not exactly a surprise at this point, I'm thinking. But now that I've brought it up, what do you guys think? Are you okay with these long ones? Do you think we should move heaven and earth to come in at a shorter length? If so, what segments do you think we should eliminate, because it seems pretty obvious that the only way we're going to shorten these to any meaningful degree is to cut a segment or two from our format. So if you think we should do that, what do you think we should cut? Inquiring podcasters want to know.

But enough of that. Here's what's on tap this time around:

What We're Watching: Crash (2004); Closer; Civilisation; Time Tunnel; Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (TV); The Advs. of Brisco County Jr.

Featured topic: Summertime TV

What We're Waiting For: Silver Bears; Monster Squad (TV)

Also, we talk about the July edition of Television Chronicles, online now at www.televisionchronicles.com.

And of course, the occasional wandering off the path on some tangent.

Enjoy

We ran a little long again, even though we ended up not incorporating a featured topic. Nevertheless, I think you'll find this edition pretty meaty even without it. In any case, because of the length, this one's split into two segments. Here's the rundown:

What We're Watching: Under Fire; Stories of the Century redux; 16 Blocks; Shopgirl; Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang

Ed's Podcast Picks: Family Affair, Season 1; The Color Honeymooners

What We're Waiting For: Buffalo Bill; T.H.E. Cat

Since a big chunk of our first show was devoted to introducing ourselves and giving a history of Television Chronicles, we felt like we short-changed our featured topic (in addition to running about twice as long as we'd intended), so we decided to revisit our first topic of super-hero comic book adaptations.

Of course, wouldn't you know it, by trimming down the length of the show, we still didn't get a lot more of the featured topic covered, but we'll continue to tweak things like length to see what works best.

Here are some highlights of Show #2:

What's Coming Up: Includes Super Tuesday from Warner Bros.

What We're Watching: Northern Exposure, Wild Wild West, Branded

What We're Waiting For: The Fugitive, Phantom of the Paradise

Plus, the return of Bill's Squeaky Chair and a cameo by his dog.

Enjoy.

NOTE FROM BILL: At the end of the show, I reference our radio appearance on KSAV, but I neglected to name the show. It's called "Talking Television With Dave White."

Visit KSAV's website, linked at right, and look for the June 6 show in their audio archives. The topic is Television Chronicles. Bill & Ed are featured, with audio appearances by a couple of past TVC interviewees.

Stay Tuned...
